Ferrologica LLC was established in 2007. From the very beginning the company employed only professionals, who were famous for their theoretical and experimental engineering developments for the Department of Defense of USSR. All their developments in technical diagnostics and nondestructive methods of testing were widely used in practice to test objects which have been under the exposure of man-caused accidents and environmental disasters. Thanks to the high quality and originality of operations, the company has gained vast experience, scientific and technical basis, attracted reliable partners and became far-famed.
There are qualified personnel of all levels of scientific manpower in the company establishment. The staff is able to solve practically all the typical and many unique problems of technical diagnostics such as idea theoretical justification and methods of its further realization, in technical devices and research results.
The main branches of scientific-and-engineering potential of the company:
- R and D work of devices, systems of technical diagnostics and non destructive control;
- Inspection of engineering construction to estimate its technical environment. As usual such constructions are very special (landing strips and aerodrome constructions, industrial surface buildings, underground constructions and tunnels, depositories, tanks, ferroconcrete and metal constructions, etc.);
- The automated initial data preparation to design engineering constructions using the remote access to systems of the allocated documents processing and results of natural inspection to estimate a technical condition of objects under diagnostic.
The main feature of methodology of the technical diagnostics used by the company during inquiries of constructions to estimate their technical condition is based on using of a complex application of several ways of non destructive test methods. This method is based on physical test of different nature fields. When inquiries of difficult objects are taken, the complex application of using methods is corrected according to the task. The company has its own off-the-shelf and unique devices as well as devices which have been granted by the Department of Defense and Gosstroy of Russia to carry out engineering constructions. The company uses a lot of different methods of technical diagnostic that have no analogues in the world.
For example, the company elaborated "STRESSVISION". This device can present the information about stress conditions in metal constructions in figures as well as in charts (charts of stress fields’ parameters and charts of stress concentrators). These methods provide the exact determination of dangerous sectors of residual plastic effect as well as detect places of future defects arising in welds, pipelines, basic metal and tanks, which is impossible for traditional methods of ultrasonic flaw detection. For example, in 1995 stereophotogrammetry was used to detect rotation of segments in Saint-Petersburg metro tunnels.
The company not only performs enterprising but also takes orders for research efforts to create new means of technical diagnostics.
The company has its own local network, Server-Center, software and the system to process information on the INTERNET-INTRANET basis. These solutions are used for R and D work and target setting for estimation of technical condition of constructions.
The scientific and technical potential and highly qualified staff of the company allow to carry out R and D work and inspection of constructions of such important objects, as:
- artificial landing strips
- header gas and oil pipelines
- engineering nets of gas-distributing and compressor plants
- constructions and buildings in accident condition
